Bubbling B Pillars

Hi guys, i have 2 patches of small "bubbling" on either b pillar drivers side and passenger side.

the black b pillar trim on the edge of the window on the outside, are these replaceable, they look as though they are not part of the door

would probably be cheaper for me to salvage some rather than have them repaired/resprayed

thanks in advance, scott

I have had the door window trim replaced twice under the three year paintwork warranty. I think it clips on in some way. Only Range Rovers since 1988

Hi guys

All done, sorry no pics but there's no need really it's very simple.

1. Open window fully
2. Pull slowly on the weather seal, inside the door up the side of the pillar until it exposes 3 screws, undo them
3. Pull the pillar cover upwards (it goes into the door about 4 inches
4. Pull it backwards away from the door until it u clips

Refit new one screw in and push weather seal back into place. Some lubricant may make things easier although I didn't use any.

You will find a build up of stale water and dry white salts under where is has bubbled. Seems to be where the weather seal has been compromised maybe by jet wash etc. seeing a as my car is 2005 ten years of build caused minimal bubbling but annoyed me enough to swap.

The pillars cost 36 quid each from Brit-part. Need any more info just ask

Hi guys,

Did mine today and took a few pics in case it helps anyone else.
The trickiest part was getting the weather strip back into position. As Ohwhatalad said, some lubricant/soapy water may help Rolling Eyes
