"Open Mike Night " sounded like a lot of fun until i found out i was going to an Autopsy

I tried this.... Bastard Lane in Wales... it's a rock waterfall at the bottom....sat here with all four wheels spinning going nowhere....

Then further up the lane ended up on two wheels, problem was they were both on the nearside... luckily it bounced off the side of the lane and came back....



Love to have a go at that one in the vid....

Current motor: Suzuki S-Cross 4WD auto, 1.4 petrol. Oh so reliable! 7 years now and no problems. Oh, all right then, a leaking shocker replaced under guarantee.

Thanks for that ^^^ verydisco. I used to live not 20km from there, and used to go along to see what was then the Jeep gathering. (I had a Classic at the time)
And thanks for the invite . I might have been tempted as I could have gone to see my son and his family in Clermont-Ferrand at the same time, but it’s a bit too short notice.

The "event in event" gathering all L322 owners happens every year during the LandRauvergne Event, France largest Land Rover gathering - think about it next year. l=Oo\________/oO=l l:OolΞΞΞΞΞΞΞloO:l

Is it a big show like the LRO J?

The LandRauvergne is +500 Land Rovers on site + a trade show, roadbooks to enjoy, several off road areas (from mild to wild) etc.

Unlike the UK event, this one sees the owners drive around during the day, then have meal together, camping on site, then a concert.

Considerable smaller that Peterborough's or Billing's show, but significantly more friendly as everyone meets around tables, the beer tent and the Saturday night concert.

There has been editorial about it in LRO a couple of years ago, see below.

Nice picture Pete, looks very familiar that slab. Would it go up a further 100 yards or so through a wooden gate then say 50 ft further on be a 90 right? Wash outs to the left as going up the hill?.....If it's the one I think it is, your nuts taking ff up there , but fair play to ya  If it dont work.......burn it!

If the IId tool cant fix it.......burn the FF.

If the FF cant be fixed......buy a Land Cruiser!

If the LC cant be fixed..............................................BUY a horse !!

Yeah, that's the one, it's one obstacle after another, took us 4 hours to get 5 trucks up it, one Jeep halfshaft and a badly mauled Frontera.. FF was stuck there because if I'd reversed back for another go it would have ripped the rear bumper off... it did the rest of it OK though... apart from the two wheel bit... dropped the suspension to access height and it lowered the center of gravity and it was OK.... Pete
