BMW transmission kit equivalent for 2004 RR

Hi all, first post on this RR forum. I can get BMW parts at employee cost. Anyone know what model and year BMW transmission filter/gasket/fill plug kit to order? I want to assume from a 2002/3 X5.

Also need the O rings and any gaskets for my leaking oil filter housing.

In general would like to know all and BMW parts that in the 2004. Thanks.

I don't know off hand, but when i did mine, i noticed the part number for the oil is printed on the bottom of the gearbox.

The Filter is the same one as the Early X5, E53 i think the internal model number is.

Pretty much everything on it is from the X5.

Thanks I'll give it a try. I read somewhere that the 5hp24 in the BMW had a different case than the RR(FF) so I wasn't sure if the pan shape could be different.

The 5HP24 is unique to the L322 and does have a different case however it shares most parts with other versions, the main difference is the output shaft as the L322 has a 2 speed transfer box whereas other BMW/Jaguar versions don't.

The sump pan and plugs are the common across all models of 5HP24 as confirmed in the ZF parts manual:
http://www.zf.com/media/media/document/int.../5HP24.pdf

I use Realoem for BMW part number equivalents.

E53 X5 4.4i M62 from early 2003 will be the same for common parts.

Thanks. I use RealOEM too for part numbers. My daughter works for a Mega car dealer. I was surprised that even with her discount the kit was still $100 US and $15/liter for fluid. Are the BCM and PCM swapable?

I was also hoping for a miracle and that BMW could provide a VIN coded key. Anyone know if it is possible?
