Door fitment question..

Hi all,

I was travelling on the motorway recently and noticed a lot of wind noise coming from the drivers side door, I decided to investigate. The door striker needed a bit of adjustment to make the door close more flush to the body.
I then noticed the top of the door around the window doesn't seem flush with the top of the car, this could cause the wind noise. as I was jet washing a bit of water came thorough as well.
Here are some photos, first photo is the drivers side, second is the passenger side which looks fine.

Is there a way this can be made flush with the body?

Many thanks

James

Edited to add - the photos were certainly the right way round when I uploaded them..

That is fixable but requires a bit of finesse.... if you haven't done it before it's best left to someone who has...

Take it to a bodyshop, they will be used to doing it, doesn't take long but involves bending the door back to shape...

It gets like that because people tend to pull the door with the top frame and over time it bends.... or some little scroat has been trying to get in the top of the door....

Thumbs Up Pete

Many thanks for the reply Smile

Thats great to hear that it can be fixed, That could be a good plan, Im not the most mechanically minded...

I'll give the local body shop a ring, I'll see if they are able to bend my towing hook back to where it should be as well.

ah yes, the photos were from an apple device as well!

Many thanks again

James.
