L405 G4 Challenge style vehicle

Hi guys

I was wondering if anyone knew much about the G4 challenge style L405 pictured below? Who built it? Are the parts readily available?

Spot lights (what logo is that Warn??)
Light guards
Bash plates
RAI

Hello, i think this is a prototype from special vehicles that they are considering. I don,t think you can buy any of this.
Which is a shame as I would love to mount the winch.

Yes nothing but a photo shopped mock up as above. A snorkel is pointless on the L405 as it has a 900mm wading depth anyway and doesn't have a side air intake!

Just as a matter of interest, where is the air intake...?

Cheers Pete

I think it is in the tops of the panels below the sides of the bonnet. Is the snorkel more about getting cleaner air with less dust and debris than excluding water? I understand that the limit on 405 wading is not the air intake but that the car floats away somewhere above 900mm. Only Range Rovers since 1988

Here you go - from Piston Heads:

Quote:
Oh, and something genuinely remarkable: the wading depth is 900mm, the highest of any production vehicle. Ingesting intake air via the gap between bonnet and wing permits this, circulating it within the clamshell bonnet before entering intake funnels dubbed 'Queen Marys' after their resemblance to ship funnels. The earlier QE2 nickname was dismissed when it was discovered only one of the ship's funnels functioned, trivia fans!
