Lincs may be flat but it has many bends to suck up that fuel Journey started in a LR2B at 16 and has incl. just about every Land Rover, Disco, RRS and Range Rover Vehicle owned or driven, I even worked for the company when it was owned by BAe - It must be a madness!!! because to add to my 4.4 TDV8 Westminister In Baltic Blue I bought a second L322 as a commuter bus, TD6 2004 Vogue in Oslo Blue with cream leather now both gone replaced with what could turn out to be my biggest mistake. I always like the mpg postings, maybe I need to measure mine and become paranoid one day - I think NOT!. What I don't like is the extra visits I now have to make to Tesco (yes I know supermarket fuel is another emotive topic that generates paranoia) compared to my old V8 Diesel its a real PITA, so much so I have started asking SWMBO out to fill her up when she visits Tesco, problem solved |

Yep. It's Premium Recommended. All the rest are Premium Required. I've never tried regular, but mine runs a treat on the midrange fuel.
As for the UK cars getting better fuel economy, remember they are using nice big IMPERIAL gallons in their calculations, not US gallons. |

Is it not simply that Petrol Range Rovers require at least 95 RON - in the UK thats called Regular and in the US its called Premium, Regular being about 92 RON.

Interesting. I did here stories about the old "Rover V8" being a LOT happier on the UK fuel than that found over here. |

Yours is also the 4.4L V8? non SC? When you say midrange what octane are you using....89? Did you see a drop in MPG or performance? I usually go to Sunoco bc they have 91 which is sometimes .10 cheaper than 93. 91 is considered premium here. typically it goes 87,89,93 at most stations here. But Sunoco is the only gas station that has 91. 2014 FF Autobiography 5.0 SC 2008 FFRR (sold) 2008 BMW M5 |
