2015 Range Rover SVAutobiography SDV8 Loire Blue

Bored after missing holiday flight!

An accident on the M40 this morning made us 5 mins late (were on track to be 90mins early) to Stanstead airport for our trip to Milan!

A little calmer then I was this morning

3 mins after baggage closes and NO help whatsoever! Not even a happy anniversary to us

This country we live in honestly! Off to the Radison then I guess...

If you stayed at the Radison last night then you would have caught your flight!

Checking in luggage - amateur hour

Hand luggage only & fast track security - it's saved me more than once.

Also - check with the airline - some (like BA) will automatically cancel the return leg unless you confirm in advance !

If it's Ryanair, then you are OK - as they consider it 2 separate singles

We went to Milan couple of years ago and only place in Italy we've ever had bad food

We did get a good meal at http://www.pizzapazzamilano.com/ though. Full of locals and Cask Peroni was best I've tasted. Mrs Muddy said the local Milanese speciality was excellent. I only had a Calzone but nothing like we get at home - top marks

We were at http://www.starhotels.com/en/our-hotels/rosa-grand-milan/ across the road so we ended up eating there twice

Helpful!

We wanted to avoid a costly unnecessary overnight stay at the Radison though! Kind of defeats the object of a quick few night get away when you land up spending £200 the night before!!! Not my favourite hotel either (by far)

Thanks MF but we were on route to Lake Garda then onto Venice for a few nights so only saw half an hour of Milan...
