England 2002 Range Rover HSE 4.4 V8 Zambezi Silver

nice car pal, I'm sure you'll have lots of fun. Don't forget to do what all FFRR owners have to do and have a picnic while sitting on the lower tailgate - I did the other day when it was parked in my drive and I was working on the side of my house, sat in the sun admiring my work while eating my morrisons sandwiches haha. Dan

What was your buying experience like - you have bought what I am looking for though I'm still undecided between black and ivory leather. Any tips?

Black leather hardly shows the dirt compared to Ivory. As the cars get older, the lighter leather colours will show age more. Discovery 4 HSE

Thats what my wife said. In years gone by we went to look at an old Touareg with beige leather and it looked so bad - all cracked and old looking.

I'm telling myself this isn't true with RR Ivory leather as it looks so nice - but i know it isn't true!

There is a lovely car for sale on Autotrader much like the OP's:

http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/adv...;logcode=p

It looks great except the back part under the boot (where tow bar is) - it looks really rusty etc and tower looks a bit bodged - is this common (OP might have a comment?) You'd of thought there would be a plastic trim covering the metal body part if its prone to rusting like that..

Looking at that one, the tow bar is an awful aftermarket, looks almost home made, and maybe that's why its so rusty.

That could be unbolted and replaced with genuine. The back box needs a respray, that's a 5 minute job, and the tail pipes need some TLC with metal polish.

They tyres I wouldn't recommend for a SC, the Grabber AT's don't have the speed rating needed.

Other than that, it looks like a nice car. Very high mile though, the OP got his with 47K on the clock IIRC for very similar money. Discovery 4 HSE

It doesn't have a plastic cover around the towing armature or neck, but should look like this:

England 2007 Range Rover Supercharged 4.2 SC V8 Java Black

Many thanks guys : )

Danny- certainly will do that! Been choosing every opportunity to go and have a look at it, went out last night,
I'm particularly impressed with all the lights inside! Even in the door handles and door pockets (I'm easily pleased..)

Sham- that's no worries at all : ) It was very pain free the whole process, I originally wanted the lighter leather but really like the darker now. I used to have a Jaguar XK with the ivory leather and it did show marks quite badlly, even from jeans. I was lucky that in that it was the first one I viewed and exactly what I was after. The dealer has said he will sort the Tyre pressure warning system fault which is good.

RRUK- it is indeed, just as good as it looked in the photographs, many thanks for the link to it in the thread in ten general section : ) Gave it a good polish last night and has come up a treat (I live in quite a dusky area so won't be clean for long) : (
It's just rolled over to 42000 now.
