Cheers Welshdragon, I can see what he's saying on the link about weight versus pressure, but at 5 Bar pressure that's 72.5 psi which is quite a high value. If there was a leak on the system, I'd expect a figure much lower, remember that car tyres are pumped up to between 2 and 3 bar maximum. Refrigerant is a gas after all, it only turns to a liquid when under pressure.

5 bar should kick in the compressor. Thats standing at about 20.0oc ambient.

I checked the pressure and my ff is showing between 14.168 to 16. 335 bar on tick over if that helps. If it dont work.......burn it!

Cheers for the replies guys, looks like I may have a slow leak somewhere in the system. Will have to get it in to an air con specialist, rather than just get a re-gas at Halfords. Hey ho, that's life. |

They insert a colourful die into the system and you will be able to see where the leak is.
