IIDTool and Apple watch?

Hi Everyone

After weeks of delay, last friday's UPS shipment consisted of this new toy:

We’ve made an App that is still in its embryonic state for the moment and it shows one possible use:

The Apple watch used in conjunction with an IIDTool BT / Pro will be able to provide convenience features as well as diagnostic aid. In time, the watch App will become an integral part of our line of products.

We have a few ideas in store and we would like to know your interests and ideas towards integrating this new technology on today’s tools and cars. Any IIDTool BT /Pro users who have purchased or are planning on purchasing a watch? We will of course need a few beta testers in a not so distant future...

Cheers

Personally I can't see the point of an Apple watch, they are just making new technology that does nothing more than we have already, and trying to convince us that we can't live without it...

IMHO not having to wear a watch and look after it was the best thing mobile phones did....

Maybe I'm just getting old though... Pete

I'm another old grumpy so no watch for me. Would rather see you completed all planned features before spending time on programming these kind of 'extras'. But I do understand your enthusiasm for the technology Wink

BTW, I ordered a IID BT on monday, look forward to try it out Thumbs Up Supporter and maintainer of EDF - Mrs Edfors' shopping cart.

I'm a complete Apple Tart, got the top spec IMac, Mac Air with SSD, I-Phone, Apple TV, Ipad Air and think they are great. But the Watch is something I do not need.It needs daily charging and I-Phone tethering to work. I'll stick with a proper watch, the Omega Seamaster. Apple need to make this a standalone device that is really innovative to work in the future. SDV8 AB MY 2019

I quite like that idea.......

But I don't wear a watch. But am torn on the apple watch, if it was £200 I would probably just get one an see how it it goes but a £900 it wouldn't be something I would wear on the building site! To be able to control the car from your wrist would be quite fun though! There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

I'm not a current IDTool user but I do have an apple watch and think their fantastic! Would love to see some development on this, might even sway me to buy IDDTool and use it instead of my fault mate

Pat

I already have a IID BT and just love it . I use it with either my i-phone5 , or if doing a scheduled intervention my I-Pad Air .

I do not have an apple watch yet as I concur with Andy B and I am waiting for Apple watch 2 to be a standalone device .
Then I may be interested to wear it on the other arm , as my left arm is already wearing my GMT Master ( agree with Scottyav ) .

So you have plenty of time to develop , as i believe quite a few apple fans are feeling same as myself .
but in maybe 2 years .... Jaybear

I too had my reservations in regards to the Watch and yes, it is not for everyone. However, the more I see, the more I like... and in 2 years, we should have a few convenience features done!

Watch this space for further development Thumbs Up

Android will of course be done a little later... http://www.gap-diagnostic.com/

Sounds interesting. I have the pebble watch and its useful for reading quick messages, etc. At only $79 it cost less than most normal watches. Would be interested to test if you develop for pebble. MY11 Vogue 4.4 TDV8 - "African Queen"
