The inner clip disappeared from mine. I replaced it with a metal clip from a well know online auction site with the help of the correct pliers. |

the 'proper' metal clips are pigs. Plastic cable ties normally last as long as the boot, but you can buy stainless steel cable ties, which are far superior to the metal clips. |

check it hasn't gone anywhere near your brakes, i needed up with new discs because of grease from either a split ball joint gaiter or when the CV boot went south. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Stainless steel cable ties ordered. Appear yo have avoided brake contamination thankfully. On inspection this evening, I found the originally cable ties which had ended up inside the gaitor.
