[Wanted] Spare Wheel cover strap/handle

The strap or handle that you use to lift the spare wheel cover in my boot is missing and its quite awkward to lift without it - is there an actual part number for that or what is it called so I can look one up or does anyone have one? I'm not looking the spare tyre lifting stuff as it is all there just the one for the boot floor cover

Don't think that they are available separately from new. Had a look on microcat and they only list it as the entire boot floor incl handle.

Might get one from a breaker? There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

^ My understanding too.

@OP If so, would it not be simple enough to use a strip off a leather belt (colour matched if you like) with some small bolts and washers? John

The one on my last car snapped - I just used a couple of big cable ties - not perfect as they don't go completely flat, but cost me next to nothing & worked fine.

Cheers all - I found a plastic handle from a laptop box (the type that comes in 2 parts and connects underneath) but I doubt it will take the weight so maybe a belt would do - i'd just like to keep it as original as possible so maybe a breakers is my only option
