Just in case anyone was wondering - the L405 fits in the standard height carriage - it's tight past the toilets, but OK with mirrors folded in

Yes its a little tight past the toilets and you do have to be accurate between the kerbs too. Snug I think is the term. Hope you enjoyed your trip.

First one in the L405 - just done 750 miles back from Bordeaux

I used to go over height, but I always go Flexi these days and it's free sandwiches in regular height

Flexi is great, turn up and drive on. Even though I know it is going under the height limit barrier it seems very close!

My frequent traveller account puts the L322 into "high" by default, how do I change that?

Do I have to call Eurotunnel because I can't seem to do it online.

I have a rather embarrassing rant story.

I was coming back one time in a Rangie. The kids were small and tired. Our passengers had had enough and we needed to get home.

We were directed to the high vehicles lane. I noticed our lane was not scheduled to depart for an hour. The normal lane was boarding. I reversed to the little cabin against all regulations

I demanded to be put in the normal lane.

"But your car is too high, Monsieur. "

Pfft. I lowered the car. "No it isn't. I will just drive over these kerbs and into the normal lane if I have to."

"But you can't get your car over them, zey are too high Monsieur "

Pfft. I raised the car to off-road. "Want a bet?"

He found a way to direct me to the normal lane.

My wife almost killed me but it was a victory.

My son has to use the over height with his Audi R8 as the wheels rub on both sides in the normal carriages.
