United Kingdom 2005 Range Rover Vogue Td6 Zambezi Silver
No response from transfer box

Hi All,
Tried to select low range whilst reversing a heavy trailer a couple of days ago and no response. No fault codes, no noises, nothing. Hi range absolutely fine. I haven't used low range for probably 4 months, was fine lost time. It has had a service including a transfer box oil change in that time.

Any ideas? Couldn't see anything very similar in the search results......

Thanks Jon.

Probably too obvious but were you in neutral when you tried? It can be easy to forget. John

Laughing I have done that before..... but yeah it was definitely in neutral and correctly registered so on the 4x4 screen.

Cheers Jon.

There's an electric motor on the box that changes the range, if they're not used much they seize up.

If you can get at it you can check it has power to it, if it does you'll know it's the motor.

Sorted

My Indy plugged in, recalibrated the transfer box control unit - sorted
Probably the result of having disconnecting the battery a few months ago.
Happy days Thumbs Up
