Hi all, new to the board and RR, bought my first one last week, it's a 2012 5.0SC Autobiography, naively though after looking in the arm rest and seeing the slot for iPod I thought I just needed to buy the correct cable from the dealer, clearly not!!

So on finding this forum and searching it seems that what I need is -

Could someone confirm if this is what I need please and have it working in their RR?

If you want to have an iPod connected then you only need the cable. I had one permanently in the cubby between the seats. If you want it to charge your iPhone 6 then you'd need an adapter.

If you want to Bluetooth stream music then the Tune2Air works a treat (the track info is beamed across).

However, I found the Bluetooth streaming was audibly worse than a hardwired solution so I went back to the iPod.

I looked for lossless solutions but couldn't find any that work (the Dolry Stone doesn't).

Thanks all, ordered the tune2air and cable, arrived today and up and running in seconds, sounds great, controllable from wheel/infotainment screen and it recognises my playlist, brilliant

Hi I ordered exactly what is at the start of this link...

Commandonline were brilliant it arrived next day and they were around £20-40 cheaper than others on the web, the JLR iPod cable I got from flea bay and that arrived in two days despite it saying it would arrive next week so was very happy with that
