To chip or not to chip

Hello chaps, had the tdv8 for just over month now, mainly for the wife so sadly I don't get to drive it much. Is it really worth having a remap and if so do I pay Dms 1large or je £350. Any opinions would be greatly appreciated. The car is mainly used in London but the inlaws live in Hexham, so if I am to chip I will do it before the drive for Christmas.
Thanks in advance for any advice

JE no question, many of us on here have gone to them, do a search, RRUK put up a load of info. They are here for the long hall and have long standing links with LR - no need to go anywhere else imho. Wealth of info on their web site, their TDV8 mapped will burn a 4.2 s/c - just!

I too went into maps in great detail, looked at Superchips, Turbochip, DMS, JE, BAS etc etc came down to DMS or JE...

oh and I also looked at those cheap budget crappy chip boxes - after taking the trouble to research them, yes they can be removed quickly but what they do to an engine management system is a bloody joke - they just corrupt the ECU into dumping extra fuel!

simonmanx was booked in for JE - so can give a fresh view on this upgrade. The general consensus has been its a no-lose process. Lots already written on it here and if I didn't owe mothercare the best part of a grand i'd be over there myself

SC apparently not - not much gains unless you alter other elements as well - need to change the Supercharger pulleys, headers, pipes etc etc. More info on the yank RRnet site as lot of US owners have the SC - no TDV8's and cheap fuel...
