Was watching something very similar a week or so ago - I don't know the name of the village / town but there is a section where they're up against the limiter with houses either side |

yes, its a very odd thing the TT, in today's world of over-safety. track designs and race science.

You're right. The bit I think is funny / scary is the attitude of some of the spectators who stand in their gardens (or those of friends etc), on the outside of corners and taking videos on their phones whilst protected only by a wooden picket fence

I don't know if you heard the Chris Evans interview on Radio 2 yesterday with some guy who rides there (dunno who) he was saying some parts of the surface are so rough you end up with blurred vision for a few seconds (at that speed!!). He also said that on one part of the course with the blurred vision the only marker he has for knowing when to turn is a single tree which is yellow in a row of green trees. Stupidity, bravery and entertaining in equal measure.

Amazing - didn't intend watching all 17 mins, but couldn't tear myself away.

I agree they are bonkers but feel I out to point out that the superbikes are nothing like shop bikes. They are based on them but my understanding is they'll be heavily tuned by people. The superstock on the other hand are showroom bikes just without lights and potentially redesigned fairings. Ed |

Slightly, the documentaries surrounding last year explained they do cater for the TT when doing road improvements but it does come second. Over the mountain for example I think they put a bit of sand into the paint to give them a bit of extra grip. Ed |
