RRV beat me to it -I was going to offer to buy them as I'm after a pair of steps for my 405 as even at access height, it is too high for some people to get into and the step, although looking relatively insignificant height wise, makes all the difference. I cannot psych myself into spending £2800 on the electric steps though - just seems a bit much just to have a pair of £400 steps motorised (albeit with sensors). Steve

One thing I would say Alistair is that, unless you are going to fit fixed side steps, I would just disable them in the closed position for now as they are an expensive option (£2,800 at a dealer) and love them or hate them, when it comes to selling your car, they will make yours more saleable than an identical model without them IMHO. Or if you did want steps, disable them in the open position - just a thought. Steve

I know it says in the manual but I tried (probably incorrectly) and they didn't disable, can someone tell me how to do it please? |

I followed the manual - something like hold the steps button down for 5 seconds when you press start.

Sensible idea Alistair, you don't want to sell it a few years later to find the steps won't move due to lack of use Steve
