They look a lot easier that the 4 pot ones on my old Classic, the first pain is you have to do one side at a time, and the second was trying to get the locking ring on to hold the dust seal in place. The first one I attempted, I put the air line in the flexi pipe hole, pulled the trigger, and ................ BANG! The pistons met in the middle and jammed, D'OH! I then had to ease them back and find away of locking half the pistons in place, think I ended up using some of those cheap folded steel G claps, but don't quote me on that one!

As for your choice of paint / finish, would you not have been better off getting then galvanised Wink Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!

I use bits of wood to stop multi pistons coming out, you can usually wedge them in place ok... mind your fingers though...

The problem with hot dip galvanising is that it's indiscriminate and will fill up the holes, threads and piston bore and you'd have to re-machine them, Zink plate is an option but it's very thin and tends to wear off calipers very quickly, I prefer the powder coat, it lasts well and is easy to clean..

Talking of galvanising I dropped off a couple of pieces yesterday, but you'll have to wait till next week to see what they are..... Thumbs Up Pete

Servicing the brakes.

Can anyone give me some advice on bleeding and flushing the brake fluid as and when? Not up to you chaps skills but might consider this job if its straight forward with the right approach?

Start a thread asking for advice rather than on this one, more people will see it... Changing brake fluid is theoretically very easy but can lead to a lot of problems, especially with the complicated systems of today, IMHO if you are not confident to do it a late Range Rover isn't really the place to start... Pete

Brake bleeding /Flush

Thanks for your comments which I appreciate and its honesty. I have a 2012 Westminster money pit but with special skills needed. Had the car for a couple of years and still find it good and interesting. Fitted new disc and pads all round but being that's pretty straight forward spannering!
