Bought me a nice 1/2 drive 14mm hex socket to remove the drain plug and the bloody chassis is in the way , what tool do you guys use? the hex is just in at an angle and the plug is turning but im going to hit the chassis before its out and chew up the plug

I cut the end off a 14mm allen key and used a 14mm 1/2in drive socket rather than buying the ready made hex drive (being a Scot ). As it only required a short length of it, the allen key was still usable as such afterwards.

I just cut down a 14mm allen key so that it fitted in the gap. |

without using the ratchet to fully remove, can you not use a spanner on the hex key (on the socket) to wind it out... ring spanner over first, locate, and presto |

ive got one of those in my Kawasaki tool kit, for taking off the front wheel, I will use it cheers |
