Windscreen Wipers Stopped Working!

Hi, I was going down the M6 on Saturday, on a weekend away, the weather was patchy rain. The wipers were on auto & doing there thing as reqd. Then more rain & less wipers, i tried adjusting the sensitivity first as this sometimes kicks them into life when the delay is too long, no response, tried switching them on, no response. the missus says why are you not clearing the windscreen? Because they won't ****** work says I!!!!
I pulled over on the hard shoulder but they wouldn't work, the washers wouldn't work either. The rain had eased by now, so i carried on, thinking i would get to the next services & check the fuses in a safer place. Driving wasn't too bad with occasional rain just to keep the screen wet. Anyway 15 miles furthewr up the road i tried them again & they started working & have contiued to work ever since!
Anybody had this issue before or any ideas greatly appreciated. Car is 2003 petrol with LPG conversion.

Cheer's

Neil

Hi
I had this happen as you describe on my previous ff. it only happened once and never reoccurred in the next 6 years of ownership. Hopefully you will be as lucky. Vehicle was a 2002 also lpg though I doubt that is relevant

If it happens again, it's probably the wiper relay which is a common fault. Do a search and you will find out how to replace it. ----------
