The problem with mine is that they lost some of their color.

They are looking a bit grayish. No more glow on them.
I'm always reluctant to use any type of spray or cleaning product other than water and soap exactly because of your issue.

They will become a magnet for dirt.

Autoglym Vinyl and rubber care.

Once clean and out of the car, spray them and immediately wipe off with a microfiber towel: it will offer a nice black but will not be shinny and will not be slippery either this way.

Don't over complicate it - hose down, use hot soapy water with a hand scrubbing brush and then hose off and drip dry.

Look as good as new without a "false" shine to them

It's always a thought as to what product should be applied when you clean the rubber car mats. I have tried various different rubber related products over the years but I've have found something that actually seems to work.

The Range Rover mats were steam cleaned and when they dried they had a grey hue to them, not very appealing. I applied some tyre gel which initially looked fine, but once it had soaked in the grey was back and the mats looked like they had never been cleaned. Then I hit on the idea of a product called Chemical Guys Bare Bones which is for detailing underneath the arches. I sprayed a small amount onto a mat and wiped it over with a microfibre cloth, the results were 100 times better than previous attempts

Yep the quickest way to clean them, I'm with CEEGEE on this , their only car mats  If it dont work.......burn it!

If the IId tool cant fix it.......burn the FF.

If the FF cant be fixed......buy a Land Cruiser!

If the LC cant be fixed..............................................BUY a horse !!

Stuff I use is in the trade called "pink stuff" use it on my whole interior and leaves a nice oem finish, water based so not greasy nor does it attract dust/dirt. Is cheap and easy to buy also.

AG Rubber and Vinyl Care is a product I've been using for years, so I can only go with that.

Meguiars Interior Trim spray isn't greasy or slippery but doesn't have the same lustre as the AG stuff.

Really tempted to try some Bare Bones but I don't have rubber mats in my SC, other than the boot. Si. <This is my name.
