Removing deployable steps ?

Can these just be removed or is there something else that would need to go back in their place ?

There's a set on the car I'm getting and my wife hates them.

I guess I could disable them, but I may as well remove and sell them if it's straightforward

if they are like the L322 then its very easy.....stick it offroad and have a look underneath.. ... - .- -.
