Good on ye' St George!!!

Well ..... someone was looking out for me and who else could it be.

Last night at 5.00pm I discovered my MOT had run out on the 2nd April .. Censored ....... Phoned my local Indie "Bert' - help!!! I need an MOT now aand don't you dare fail it - I'm in the middle of lambing and can't do without it"

"Get it down here for 8.45 tomorrow & we'll fit it in!" came the reply.

So, I duly got it down there for 8.45 but they had no courtesy car available so they ran me home - due to lambing I can't be away for too long or lives are lost!!

Roll forward to 11.45 - Bert' turns up with my car and a fresh MOT certificate. Not a single advisory, not one - despite all the last ones I have from different garages warning of corroded brake pipes.

So I ran Bert' back to the garage and now I'm sat having a cuppa and a wee spot off lunch.

Phew - but a big shout out to Border Auto Services in Newcastleton and of course - St George Thumbs Up

@Robert - You live in a beautiful part of the world but my experience is they tend not to hurry down there Very Happy

We have a wee ex-farm (circa 8 acres) about 65 miles south-south west of Bordeaux (near Morcenx) and whilst everyone is friendly and honest enough they tend not to do anything which can be put off until tomorrow - and the desire of the law doesn't seem to hurry them either.

No malice just why rush - there's always tomorrow!!

However, up here you have to do it NOW 'cos in 15 minutes it could be snowing even if it is July Laughing

You're right, it is beautiful out here, the problem is that I'm raised with that "do it now" attitude.
Never knew that we had wee-ex farms here, even worse, I have never heard of it, Embarassed
