United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Supercharged 4.2 SC V8 Cairns Blue

It's just that people are jealous of people who own Range Rovers! Case in point, ours is a 2003 on a private plate. Couple of weeks back my wife picked me up at Westbury station, driving back home there is a staggered crossing on the main Devizes / Salisbury road. Wife stopped at the junction, indicating right, no traffic either direction, she pulled out immediately indicating left, next thing there is a 52 plate Volkswagen estate nearly into U.S., indicating right.
Next minute this guy passes us, pulls in front and slams on the anchors, forcing us to stop.
Next minute he's out of the car, approaching us, effing and blinding about stupid posh bitches driving their effing range rovers!
He must have had a really important job as he was wearing his hi vis tabard.
Anyway, after a huge rant at us, and telling us in no uncertain terms that he had a motor bike worth more than our f Censored nag Range Rover, he got back in his car and drove off.

Best part was though that on the Sunday, I was coming back through the village from thruxton when he was approaching me ( I had right of way), so I made him reverse and let me past, of course I waved to him and thanked him! Stupid Censored !

And remind me again on the UK law regarding child seats ?

My point here was if he was so concerned about said kids how come there are two children clearly under the age of 12 without booster seats let alone the correct child seats required for their size . 2008 MY Supercharged

I certainly don't condone these idiots (if in fact he didn't have anyone disabled with him) for parking in these spaces. And similarly in "Parent and Child" spaces. Having had 6 kids in total, I know how difficult it can be to get young kids out of normal spaces, sometimes far away from the shop entrance, and negotiate supermarket car parks and into shops safely.

I do however wish these stores would actively manage their car parking spaces. That camera man was putting himself in a situation that could have ended him in hospital or nick had it gone bad (or worse with some folks out there these days)

These spaces should be managed by "officials" from the stores that rent/own the carpark and until this happens, abuse of such parking facilities will continue.

Virtually every time I visit my local superstore "white van man" or builders lorries will be in the parent or disabled spaces and I see parents with small children having to use spaces that put their kids in potential risk. Such carparks are dangerous places, especially with the lack of driving skills or road awareness of many drivers I see but it won't change until the shop start enforcing their own policies.

+1^ good point about controlling these spaces. Superstores provide them and leave it to common courtesy to do the rest. On the whole it does but as we all know when it goes bad it can go VERY bad.

I think the space provider has a degree of culpability in these matters.
