Been looking on the trader at the cost of the 4.4 tdv8 models and have noticed that there appears to be 2 types of seats. Some look more similar to the ones on my early car, with piping around the edge, and some have no piping and a seam on the flat bit towards the outside of the base.

What's the difference ?

Just planning at the mo Pete. Sort of wanted a facelift car next so a change would seem more like a change. Then saw for a few k more than a nice 3.6 you could get the 4.4 with a few miles on. They will depreciate more than my 2003 in the next year.

Cheapest early 3.6 around 13k, but you'd perhaps better spending a bit more, say 17...... In which case a facelift one is about 22 so if I saved a bit....... Then saw that the 4.4s start at about 27..... Man maths and all that. If I waited 12 months.....

Ordinarily it would mean the difference between blown air heated/cooled seats being standard with the semi aniline leather (your lower picture) found in the VSE and AB models... And the first picture being a standard Vogue seat (with piping) that only comes as standard with electrical heating...

Incidentally both the seats pictured have blown air heating (must have been a spec'd option on the Vogue seat...

As you say, the standard Vogue seats are pretty much the same as 07> seats so well worth the semi aniline upgrade if the budget will allow a VSE or AB sir

Yep, makes total sense to me....

I've worked out my FF was free...!!!??? If you work out how much I would have paid in labour for all the things that have gone wrong then, because I did all the work myself, I've saved more than it cost... Hence one free FF

Min semi aniline VSE spec anytime. 405 AB exec seats Baltic and Cirrus
