Auxiliary switch panel

For any of you wishing to fit extra switches for whatever reason, this is my solution.
I was looking to fit then in the front fascia panel but that was going to be a right a Censored e of a job so I came up with this.
Surprisingly very straight forward to do.
Decided to fit a couple of decent map reading lights whilst I was at it.

Neat job! Thumbs Up

Do you mind me asking where you got your switches from? Si. <This is my name.

What sort of power supply do you have up there ?? Ignition positive and/or permanent positive ??

Would be a great powersource for a dash cam for example and a great place for a switch to switch it on and off. MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
Have the Faultmate MSV2 Extreme to be tinkering with the settings etc. !!

@Bellini

These are the switches as recommended by stan,

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Square-Panel-Mtg...rmvSB=true

@ebajema

I ran a new 10A power supply and earth and some spare cables from below the front fuseboard by removing the roof console, unpicking a small edge of roof trim above the passenger door, feeding a stiff piece of wire through the roof space to the console position, connecting a number of wires to the end of the stiff wire at the console end and then pulling back the stiff wire out of the roof with the cables attached. Ran the new cables behind the roof trim and then down behind the A post cover and then into the end of the dash by removing the end panel.
This then allows you access for the cables below the fuseboard to do with as you chose. Sounds complicated but was very straight forward.

Nice job Thumbs Up , I was going to fit a switch on that pannel for the rear camera but was'nt happy with it there, loads of space up there for switches. If it dont work.......burn it!

If the IId tool cant fix it.......burn the FF.

If the FF cant be fixed......buy a Land Cruiser!

If the LC cant be fixed..............................................BUY a horse !!

Very neat stan but as you'll appreciate the TD6's aren't fitted with the convenient flap covered holes of later models.
I'll bear that in mind for the future Wink Thumbs Up

So what are you using them for NDFI ? (and for that matter stan too!)

I have a couple of switches (one momentary, one illuminated toggle) to power up and start my car pc, in the coin tray in front of the gear lever

One for the additional map reading lights, one to switch on and display the reverse camera when driving ( also to allow use of this camera as rear journey camera via recorder) and one for the dilithium crystal regenerator. Thumbs Up
