Red Lights

Hi, now I've tried to find this in the owners manual and I've done a search on the forum, but no luck.

MY13 L405 AB, roof console (where the pan roof and blind buttons are), I have 6 red lights that seem to be on occasionally, usually at night (well that's when I notice them), and then they go off for no apparent reason. They are small LED lights and not very bright......

It's driving me crazy trying to figure out what they are and why!! Can anybody help please.

Cheers

Night time courtesy illumination lights? Like the 322 had in the interior lights Whistle They give a tiny amount of ambient light for your passengers when its pitch black outside...

Possibly, but I don't think so, these turn on and off for no apparent reason......and are not the same as the mood lighting or the small down lights.

They seem to be rearward facing......if I could make them come on I would take a picture.

Yes this is the WhiteFire system. On the L322 vehicles with RSE, this was above the central front armrest. The sound is transmitted from the front now to enable the front passenger to wear earphones too which wasn't possible on the L322.

I have red lights that glow in that same area, but they are caused by a lightweight object being placed on the passenger front seat causing the passenger airbag to turn off, hence the warning light. Not sure if this is a USA only requirement. Supposed to protect a small person from airbag deployment, but very annoying when it gets triggered by a not so light handbag!!! 2015 RR ATB (Scotia Grey w/Cirrus-Ebony)
