2006 Range Rover Autobiography Supercharged Zambezi Silver

Gone from FFRR 4.2SC to an X5 40d MSport......

Obviously totally different vehicles, both have their plus points and negative points - I do miss the FFRR but I don't miss the constant battle with faults and the heavy fuel consumption......I used to dread that 'BONG' noise Rolling with laughter

The X5 40d feels as quick as the Supercharged, handles better and it actually tows our caravan every bit as good..........(which I was surprised at !) Stolen / Gone: 2006MY Supercharged LPG Autobiography - Zambezi Silver with Sand/Jet/Jet Oxford Leather.....

No actual clues from N1ck's posts on this thread as to why he was/ is tempted to change to a Geman marque...

Thumbs Up

Explanation.... Shocked

Owning the Rangey is a Pleasure and Pain experience...like most other LR's in my experience, whereas other cars we own(ed) from Japan or Germany 'seem' to be much more reliable and trouble free....

Tempted; VW are doing some brilliant deals, as are Audi and I was tempted on the back of reliability and the lack of it in the range rover....

I was looking at Q5's as one of a host of options...

I am keeping the Range Rover Thumbs Up

Not that relevant but our 4wd family history goes D1, Frontera, D2, D3, XC90, Audi A8, Range Rover....so you see I always seem to come 'home'.... Is this where I put the car details and a bit about myself ?........

Feel for you nick. I was tempted 12 months ago for a kia sorento. Having owned a 300tdi a d2 I knew all about lr ownership, when the time came as I needed to change I showed the wife the sorrento and of course for my budget the later reg, she said I don't like the shape we never test drove one.showed her the rr and the response was that's a lovely car, as somehow they don't date that much as other models do. I don't regret my choice of the rr, but as I get older getting under cars with maintenance and or course the time factor I may have to revert to the dark side of Korean cars. For now I'm just enjoying the rr and loving it despite the loving attention it requires Laughing

hope you feel settled for a while.

Have you toyed with the idea of a job with LR's PR team ??.... Rolling Eyes

Not sure I'd suggest a Toyota LC is inferior...but the Korean's have some ground to cover, as do the German's in terms of the overall package. Is this where I put the car details and a bit about myself ?........
