United Kingdom 2007 Range Rover Vogue SE TDV8 Zermatt Silver

I was lucky enough to live in Sydney for three months a couple of years ago, I wasn't working so had plenty of time to explore....

Take the ferry over to Manly for an afternoon/evening (really lovely place with a fantastic beach and waves, very laid back compared to Sydney/Bondi)
The Bridge Climb is very touristy but actually well worth it, the views are tremendous
Pyrmont fish market is good, if you can get up early enough
The bars and restaurants of Darling Harbour are excellent (Pyrmont Bridge Hotel never used to close...)
Fish and chips at Doyles in Watson Bay is something of a tradition, take a walk up to Hornby lighthouse for great views of across the bay and out to sea
Clovelly and Coogee beaches are South of Bondi and worth visiting, there is a well marked path along the cost

Finally, get down to Rushcutters bay and get out into the harbour on a yacht with one of the sailing school taster sessions - they are cheap and its a great experience!

I learnt to sail with Pacific Sailing School - they used to run smaller, more fun boats than Eastsail, but for a relaxing cruise, Eastsail might be better....

If they have some sailing experience, the get down there one evening for a twilight race - usually lots of boats looking for crew and many boats are more interested in the social aspects than winning (e.g. sending someone swimming to shore for more beers whilst experiencing slack wind at Watsons Bay was more than acceptable!)

Great place, sometimes I really wonder why I came back to the Uk..... 2007 Zermatt Silver TDV8 Vogue SE - now sold but was a great car!

Many great suggestions here already. May I suggest a ferry from Circular Quay near the Opera House to the Taronga Park Zoo.

It is a brilliant trip and beautiful views across the Harbour and the zoo is great and in a wonderfully scenic spot on the side of a hill overlooking the harbour.

Regards

Funny, ain't it? I live (born and bred) here and hate Sydney. I live 60km west and only go into town about once or twice a year. Ron B. VK2OTC
