car communications ipod adaptor

Has anyone tried fitting a car communications ipod adaptor. Followed instructions and took dashboard apart and it said disconnect cd player loom but nothing fits the adaptor unit. Have emailed them a couple of weeks ago with no response. Just wonder if I need to take out the cd changer instead
The reason I want to fit it is because the cd changer is doing my head in, firstly says no cartridge even though I purchased a new one and then sometimes it keep saying cd loading but never does although I can hear it loading. Scared to price a new one !!!!

I initially tried a DICE iPod adapter in mine but the IPOD control was hit and miss, so took the plunge and bought an Intravee and a KCA 420i not cheap but works really well.

from memory - you lose the CD player and the iPad kit replaces it. There are two types of plug (again from memory)

No need to remove the dash - it all happens in the glove box where the CD player lives. Remote that and swap the lead into the iPod unit. Ash

All sorted. taking the glovebox out wasn't as hard as I expected (10 minutes) but an age to get the spring back in for the glovebox latch !!!!!!
