Range Rover 2002 V8, M62 engine

Can anyone confirm which of the two breather hose's on the cyclonic oil separator ( top or bottom ) goes to the PCV valve, I have checked several sites and they contradict each other, some show top hose to PCV valve and some show top hose to cam cover.
I presume its important they are the correct way round to operate correctly?
