Gearbox filler plug size

Guys,

Please confirm for me, is the hex filler plug an 8mm? Or, what size hex 1/2" drive socket fits?

The filler/level plug for the 6HP28 lives towards the back of the transmission on the RH side and needs an 8mm hex. drive to remove it. It looks a pain to get at though as Land Rover use a ‘special tool’

If you could get at it with a torque wrench the tightening torque would be 35Nm.

Thanks for this. It doesn't look like I will be able to do my Dr Tranny myself then.
