Android Head Unit for 2009 Vogue - Recommendation Required

Hi All

I am looking at upgrading the head unit on my FFRR Vogue 2009 and would welcome your advice

No particulary electrical savvy so may be looking for an auto electrician to fit

Thanks in anticipation

Ian

United Kingdom

you might find that pretty difficult as the system is MOST [fibre optic] and the screen is linked via MOST to the other ecu's... ... - .- -.

Hi babagee, i am new to the whole FFRR scene myself but i have found the Harmon logic 7 system in my 05 to be among the best factory sound systems i have had the pleasure to listen to. I may sound daft but why would you want an aftermarket ie pioneer/kenwood etc and where would you put it as if you removed the factory screen would you not lose control of many of the cars features? Apoligies if i am not getting what you want to do by running android but i thought as Stan said the fibre optic most system would not be compatible.

Yep, pretty much impossible without having a custom unit built, you will lose all the vehicle info and options.... even if you could make it work...

If you have the early disc then a post 2010 disc has a software update which improves the user interface and makes it nicer and easier to use.... Pete

Hi again
& thank you for your valued input
I liked the look of the Erisin ES9753A unit, but it looks like it is not to be Sad
Nothing particularly wrong with the existing head unit but I thought a re-fresh would be good

Hi
I have 2005 hse had problems the amp got wet so nothing
Works new amplifier is around 700
I've been quoted by a auto electrician
For a clarion unit with bluetooth, sat nav, for 900 fitted extra 100 if I want dab, only problem is not all the speakers will work Sad looks quite smart as mine does not have sat nav etc I may go with the Clairon option will update if I do
