I've had brake drone on the SC for a while. It was there before I replaced all the discs and pads with TRW ones from Advanced Factors, our forum sponsors.

I have OE pads in mine and I get a "drone" type of sound under heavy braking. I'm just think its the sound of three ton pulling up! I've learned to live with it. You can spend a lot of time and money chasing that type of thing around. |

Well, I've never had it before in my other L322's, and as all but the callipers have been replaced, that's where my suspicion lies Discovery 4 HSE

Must admit I haven't heard it before in my 4.4 or my Sport, but I think its just a characteristic of the momentum and all the braking components - that's if its the same noise that I get. |

It's VERY loud. You can't miss it. It reverberates the car whilst it is happening, if I release the brake and reapply with different pressure and force, I can make it go away. Discovery 4 HSE

I get the same in my SC and agree it seems to be OSF. It's going into the main dealer next week and I've asked them to look at it. Will let you know the result. "On first name terms with my local Dealer......now."

So Craig..your saying that the Brembo pads I purchased from Advanced Factors are not made by Brembo at all?

Yes sir... 100% NOT made by Brembo sir... As I stated above, Brembo do NOT produce brake pads! Any brake pads in a branded Brembo box are NOT produced by them and probably are inferior pads being sold in that packaging to hide there originality!
