Germany 2012 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Santorini Black
move from 2003 4.4. V8 petrol on to a 4.4 TDV8 2012?

Hi,
temping offer from dealer: 2012 Vogue TDV8 4.4 with 57k kilometers. (Europe)

I have tried the serach engine on here, but not much joy.
Thought I get a pic on how reliable those high-tech computers are in comparison to my
2003 BMW powered beast?

Still two years of wrarranty on it, so basically safe to run for 2 years now, but would love to keep
a bit longer. Whats the general feeling of those who actually have such a vehicle?
Sound car?

I don't like hearsay too much, but have seen quite some 3.6 TD engines in front of their cars in the past
as they seemed to have trouble with EGR, turbos and fuel flooding due to filter cleaning attempts etc....

regards
heppsen

2012+ 4.4 are good cars with most if not all TDV8 problems resolved as they apply mainly to the 3.6 Thumbs Up .

Had my 2011 tdv8 for two and a half years. Earl in my ownership it had a new starter motor and a turbo oil drain mod done both under warranty. It has only done 15000 miles but has been totally reliable and has never missed a beat. Superb vehicle. Agueroooooooooo. 93-20
I swear you will never see anything like this ever again....watch it..drink it in.

I own both, 4.4L Petrol and 2012 4.4L Diesel. quite an upgrade indeed. you'll love it.

no major problem with the 2012 indeed, just negociate a 3 years or even 5 year waranty contract on it if you wish to sleep better.

I opted for 2 additional years over the 3 factory ones, cause you never know! l=Oo\________/oO=l l:OolΞΞΞΞΞΞΞloO:l

Gents, many thanks. Thumbs Up
Seems I have made a decision... will see.
Fully loaded Vogue from July 2012, 2 years warranty extension still running until summer 17 (excluding consumables like brakes and oil) - sounds good to me.
Wifey liked it as well as she did the test run ... Whistle

You guys know who rules the decisions, so good move there from the stealer to hand the keys to her and grin and saying " you don't even need to use the keys actually".... Thumbs Up
I had a good laugh at wifeys look.... Mr. Green

She worked it out in 12 seconds though.... (she just pushed the start button, grinned and commented with a knowingly "ahhhh nice") Rolling with laughter

More info to follow. Andybody in the market for a LHD 2003 Vogue 4.4?

Well, you can tell it is a completely different machine !

The "old" one seems nice though, you should keep it for Madame... (that said, don't, she'll take the new one and you'll be back to square one!)

we were thinking along those lines of keeping the old one as we need two cars, but I will get a new company car by end of April, plus have two old Landrovers (61 and 65). So we put up the old Range, the wifes old Mazda and my old Merc sedan up for sale now.
Actually even owning them is a tad expensive over here, let alone insuring and running...

too many toys. Big Cry

luxury problem: not enough days in the week for the cars in the barn.... Rolling with laughter
