I was in the same position last year and I would recomended looking out for a early facelift 4.4 or 4.2 SC model with the newer jag engine with 6 speed box . The 4.4 is what I went for in the end and if you mange to find an 55 plate you get the cheap tax aswell as a more updated car. The 4.2 SC model seems more common but insurance was very high for myself plus I always feel with top end performance models that they may have had a harder life and taken a thrashing ie gti, m3, audi rs etc. I know this won't always be the case but just the way my head works. Range Rover Vogue 2006 4.4 AJV8 | Buckingham Blue | Parchment Leather | Supercharged Grill+Side Vents | CA02 HEY ( NOT 02 PLATE ) |

Cheers for the feedback guys! Is this a face-lift model? Is it just the lights and the front bumper that are the give a ways? I don't have an engine pic...

The interiors different too. MY07 onwards has the Terrain Response dial behind the gear stick. Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue

And an entirely different interior look too (not just the terrain response)

I started with a similar approach, but I ended up buying a 58 plate 4.2SC with the facelift interior and £500 road fund

I could be interested in this depending on the price, wouldn't want the Gigalo plate on there though as people will get the wrong idea |

I was in the same boat but I already had an 03 td6 and was looking at low mileage 05/06 models but after driving a 120k miles 2008 tdv8 my mind was made up and I went for the later high mileage one there is a fair bit more to them than just an updated interior (in my humble opinion) |
