United Kingdom 2016 Range Rover Autobiography SDV8 Santorini Black
Disco 4

My disco had to go to the land rover doctor today to have a look at a persistent "blowing over a bottle" noise from the turbo, apparently they can't hear it anymore, though they could when it was in for a service.

But looking on the bright side they have given me a brand new Disco 4.5 HSE lux, with lots of toys to tool around in while they sort mine out. Have had a good drive round in it today and apart from the fact that it has that new car feeling to it, i still prefer my 7 year old range rover......

As nice as it is i can't shake the feeling that it is just feels like a big ordinary posh car. if i could just get the FF to smell like a new car then all would be right with the world. Thumbs Up There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

There's a new 4.5 litre disco?

What engine is that?

My pal swears his disco 4 knocks the Rangey into a cocked hat for towing his generators around, less bumpy less roll and more general better feel, I said you been drinking the petrol out the blowers or are they a better tow truck Censored _____________________________________________________

I think they're probably better. They have a higher nose weight limit.

Having said that, a Range Rover is still a stellar performer at towing.

to be honest, having towed with both, the D4 2.7 is a bit like towing with a td6, a bit slow but very stable. The 3.6 with the trailer on the back is easily as stable and pulls the trailer with ease, though for some reason the trailer knocks around on the tow ball (detachable), but with the caravan on the back i reckon there isn't much in it between the two stability wise and the caravan doesn't bang around on the hitch cos of the stabiliser, afaik they have the same nose weight at 150kg.....

and yes I meant the new updated D4 3.0 with the new lights and other updated bits (not a 4.5L disco) Rolling Eyes There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Disco 4's do tow my 3 axle Ifor supremely well. Have not had it on for any distance with the fullfat yet.

I only get this luxury when the Defender is in the dealers. If everything is under control you are not going fast enough.
