Hi Folks.
My 2009 3.6 V8 seems to be quite a hard ride and I feel every bump. Is this normal
or has anyone any ideas what could be the problem?

Any faults on dash?
Does she visually look like she's sat at the normal ride height?
Does the suspension go up & down as it should via the control buttons?

Everything appears normal, everything
Works as it should. Maybe it's just
me?

I'll be watching this with interest as mine is the same.

No faults, freshly serviced and MOT'd with nothing wrong

However, I do know my tyre pressures are on the high side and I've not adjusted them yet. Tyre wear, however, is perfectly even.

It wasn't until a friend commented about the ride that I started noticing it. Si. <This is my name.

As above, check the tyre pressures and if it bothers you and you are running on 20" then try some 19" as the ride is slightly better.

Mine has also never been a magic carpet, and is definitely better on the 19". Today's job is to put the 20s back on now it's warming up. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Hard ride!

I have a BMW 320d Touring with run flats in stock and its like having no suspension at all.... (Bang, Bang..)

Yes the wheels I have are 20", I will check, tyre pressures. What would you recommend to put in them, its usually
just me or the wife in the car and very rare that I have any weight in it? Thanks for your advice.

Mine has 20's and the drive is very comfy. I can literally take speed humps without slowing down. I believe the original principle was that the range rover should be driveable over a ploughed field at 70mph. Suppose a lot will depend on what you came out of/ perspective. Bmw m sport or rolls Royce phantom? My Previous RR's!

Felt the same when I went from my D3 to my 2008 3.6TDV8, in fact the dealer has it in now after 14 weeks, correcting problems and we were given a Discovery 4. All have noticed, as hard as it s to say, the D4 is less 'bobby' on slower uneven roads ie local driving. I almost felt the suspension was lowered which tends to fell like this. I run the standard 19's.
Not sure how true this is but a friend of mine (BMW Motorsport tuner) said the struts / springs (can't remember which) on the Ford FFRR's were stiffened up a bit over the original BMW designed FFRR's. Don't quote me on that though.
On the motorway and smooth roads the FFRR is beautiful, I must admit the D4 does go round bends with far less body roll. Porsche 993 Targa, Buick Skylark Convertable 1968

I find my D4 will corner slightly better than the FFRR, lets not forget though it is basically a more practical RRS. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Thanks for the advice folks.
Checked tyre pressures and the back
ones were at 42 and front 36.
Dropped em all to 34 and problem solved.
Different drive.

Mine was like this and was down to worn suspension bushes, changing them to new ones made the world of difference
