VW Golf Manual Stop Start

Hired a Golf from Geneva Airport to drive up to La Clusaz day before yesterday and was surprised to find it had "Stop Start" technology even though it was a six speed manual. Very clever version of automatic EPB that held it when clutch down and out of gear too!

It was like driving an Auto with proper manual gear-stick and sportiness !!!

United Kingdom 2007 Range Rover Supercharged 4.2 SC V8 Zermatt Silver

I hired a Passat two years ago with the same features.

Wasn't terribly keen on the stop-start stuff, but did rather enjoy the hill-hold facility. Si. <This is my name.

I eat rat poison.

A man ain't truly been insulted until he stands buck naked in front of a woman and she didn't even notice. Or care.

Ah, La Clusaz ....
Was my favourite mountain resort in France. Used to go there many times a year when I was living and working in Pareee (15 years or so ago ...)
'Spec it's changed an awful lot since then. It's "bébéchoon", ackcherly, with accents. 'Steve' to my chums.
20 years ownership of Solihull products, ALL GONE NOW, sniff!
Current motor: Suzuki S-Cross 4WD auto, 1.4 petrol. Oh so reliable! 7 years now and no problems. Oh, all right then, a leaking shocker replaced under guarantee.

My Audi A1 is also manual with stop start tech. You get used to it after a while...
I'm also a big fan of La Clusaz.... I've spent many happy weeks staying at Gerry's 'Alpine Aravis retreat' Regards
