where do all these wheels come from?

i've been thinking that i might possibly change my wheels ,so i have looked on ebay and found loads for sale ..now, where do all thses wheels come from? , are there hundreds of FFRR and RRS parked up on bricks all over the country or are there non-landrover wheels being fitted... ... - .- -.

some are second hand, some are new copy fakes from china, some are dealer swops (new owner wanted different wheels), some are new finish damaged wheels - off the production line - repaired and sold as new never fitted. Some are new which have had puncture repairs. Some are new which have to be ditched as the tyres are reaching their best before date.

in other words be very careful what you buy....I'd always try and establish the source and why the sale.

Try and get a set of OEM that someone is taking off because they want big bling things.
They are usually good value and are factory standard wheels and tyres. Thumbs Up

I picked up a set of 19" 6 spokes for snow tires - for all of GBP110. And the tires on them still had half the tread left!

So I've been driving like a maniac these last couple of weeks trying to scrub the rest of the tread off so that I can swap to snows w/o feeling like I threw away something valuable and good. Rolling Eyes
