Re the pre-heater thingmebob.....

On my TDV8 the remote pre-heater did a wonderful job of heating the interior and clearing the glass before entry every morning during the winter but it didn't/does not pre-heat the engine as I originally expected.

I looked into it and I am sure I found that it is essentially a very efficient cabin pre heater but not an engine block pre-heater as in some American models sold in the North part of the USA.

Comments as I may be wrong....

It was just that the engine temp needle never moved.

On mine after 30 mins the needle is just between the blue and the 1/4 mark. So not "Hot" but certainly warm. The engine sounds much nicer when it starts when warm too.

I got £10,100 for mine. That's a 53 plate Vogue on LPG with near FSH and no issues. I feel a bit sore atfer that. But in all honesty got this one for a good price, although I will LPG it before crimbo. 

Congratulations again, the market for older RR has dropped a little but the newer ones are holding steady. I would be very proud to own your shining new example

Gazelio, IIRC we only get park heat because LR has to fit a diesel engine heater to get round the cold start/warm up emissions regs, heating the cabin is "just" a by product that doesn't cost much to add on to the system. Actually, it's because the engine does not produce enough waste heat to heat the cabin in very cold temps (for the TD6 anyway - don't imagine the TDV8 has changed in that regard though). I'd read the same thing online somewhere - and the proper explanation in the RAVE:'On Td6 models, the FBH also boosts the heater coolant temperature while the engine is running at low ambient air and engine coolant temperatures, to maintain heater performance at an acceptable level.'

Thanks guys, I love it.

Just a couple of bits to sort, the main bug being the front PDC not working.

I love the green, plus the aspen interior. If ordering one new it's probably the combination I would choose. 

Does look good and the wheels do really suit it as said. Nice style wheels.
Just need to update the sig now with pictures of the new one.

I know, need to get an action shot or something!

£1300 includes an 85L tank in the spare wheel well and relocation of the EAS pump to the corner of the well, rather than into the storage bin as per my old one.

56ppl again please. I don't know how you guys can afford to drive a RR at £1.20pl!
