I posted about this a while back, however didn't really get a chance to get the problem sorted. so hear it goes again!

On a friends RR l322 2006 the radio etc has stopped working.

The very odd time it will work, however after a short drive your are unable to change the radio station and upon switching the car off it no longer works. This has happened twice in one year, however the car has not been used much.

There is no red light. You can jump the relay in the boot and the land rover logo is displayed.

There is an almost constant red light coming from the box below the display behind the dash when the most loop is removed. This is then plugged into the display unit. Next one goes to the boot, the red light is not as constant. The first unit it goes into it does not come out of this. Most of the time. It the biggest unit in the back left. However if you pull the power and restart the radio system the laser manages to go around the entire loop. Switching it self on and off until it stops.

What on earth could it be? Is there something between the display and the rear of the car?
