"Temperature Error - Shutting Down"

Started from cold this morning and this came up on the touch screen (07 4.2sc)

None of the radio buttons work, the touch screen is inactive, but the CD still plays.....Any ideas??

Just having a wander round some of the other forums...nothing obvious on here; a few mention that there is a temp sensor somewhere that protects the head unit from overheating......and the sensors can go tits up. Guessing this is the problem as it came on from cold.
