I'm looking at assorted FFRR online (2008-9), and can't determine from the photos whether there are in fact two shades of beige(ish) leather interiors or one and the photos just show it differently. Are 'ivory' and 'beige' two colour variants? Both appear to come with the contrasting piping.

Second question, are the piano black interior trim pieces available separately and from where? Some nice ones but I don't like the wood inserts.

there are 3 shades of "beige"

Ivory - very pale
Parchment - slightly less pale
sand - slightly more of a tan colour to it (there is tan as well but it is more brown)

the piano bits are available separately but they are quite expensive. some on here have had them sprayed at a body shop, as the piano ends are painted black with lots of lacquer, so same difference really and will be cheaper than new ends. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

I wish it was that easy. When I sit in my car the seats look sand, the doors parchment and the dash ivory! Travelling around in circles again.

I've seen one described as Ivory and I'm guessing the other is the sand. I like the ivory. Thanks for the info on the trims.

Seems trivial, but you spend all that time looking at the interior so may as well like it. also saw one with white/black interior - pretty cool I thought.

Back to technical stuff then - does the FFRR have a major service like the Disco3 105k/7yr one? One you want to have done before buying?

TBH insp 1 and 2 are the same and a hangover from the BMW engines, there are some other items to attend to at certain points such as diff fluid, trans box fluids and aux belts though these are sundries and not to expensive in their own rights.

Another thing to do at around 100k is the gearbox oil, this is recommended by ZF at 100k for a car which hasn't towed and 60K for one which has seen harder use. Though it is generally agreed on here that the more often the better with the 6hp26 box in the tdv8, on a car not owned by an "enthusiast" it would be unsual for this to have been changed, but its worth the question as a fluid swap is about £300ish. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜
