Battery Jump Starters

Anyone bought one of these, if so would you recommend them , thinking of getting one to keep handy as i have a small car that only gets used about 4 times a year.

I bought one about 3 months ago, but haven't tried it out in anger yet. The build-quality is a bit iffy, but you are really paying for the capacity of the battery.

I had a few issues last winter with the remote heater function running down the battery (with only short runs in between), so I got it 'just in case'. Having said that, following these problems a new battery was installed into the RR under warranty, so I may never need the jump starter ! Still, it gives peace of mind when using the remote heater / rear screens etc when parked.

Have ordered one of those scarey, but first i have to get the battery charged up as they solar panels won't charge a battery from flat.

Thats why i was thinking of getting one of those jump start batterys or just a plain old battery charger ...... ====================================

I got a great battery charger from LIDL/ALDI a year or so ago, think it's called C-Tek or something similar. Only cost £12.99 and was given some rave reviews on another Forum I frequent...

It's TUV approved and has a 3 year warranty, my neighbour used it last winter and was very impressed...

I'll look out the details when I get home tonight...

Just remembered , It also has a trickle charge function...

Thumbs Up might get that and the Jumpstart one , as the jumpstart one i don't think you can use as an overnight charger when you take the battery out of the car ........ Thumbs Up ====================================

Get a C-tek, plug it in and forget.

had one on my defender for a couple of years and it never fails to start, even after sitting there for 9 months. Had flat tyres though!
