Another interesting fact...

When they started there was only Del and Rodney living in the flat at Mandela House, as it filled up with more characters it wasn't big enough so to keep it looking right on camera they enlarged everything, all the walls, furniture, pictures, everything was made a % larger to keep it looking right...

I had a bottle of "Peckham Spring Water" that my bro took as they were just chucking them in a skip, kept it for a lot of years, it's now in the OFAH museum in Essex.... Pete

Yep, he did enjoy it, that clip was done in one take, they filmed all of it in front of a live audience and they didn't like doing retakes as the reaction from the audience was never the same second time around, they would play the outside pieces on screens and do all the inside stuff in the studio, the cast were excellent and sometimes it only took 30mins to do a 30min show, something unheard of usually....

Funnily enough the chandelier episode he never worked on as it was all done on location and at that time they used film cameras to do it, which were hired along with their own cameramen... Pete

Another little known fact was most of "only fools" was filmed in my home town of Bristol... A friend had the flat below theirs (behind the Bristol City Ground) and we used to get £5 a day "inconvenience money" when they were filming
