Got the new car today...

First impression is that it seems to have a 'fast forward' button under the accelerator peddal somewhere. Shocked

Yes, I know it's not as fast as an SC, but it seems rather brisk for a big heavy vehicle.
Although I have to admit the Td6 was better value for money, I am liking the TDV8.

Averaged 30.2mpg on the way home (50 miles) despite a few childish zooms. Very Happy

2006 Range Rover Vogue Td6 Alveston Red

Congratulations. I'm getting more and more jealous that i can;t stretch to a TDV8.

I even considered a 4.2 this week as the TD6 is so slow, but i think i'd end up using the Mini all the time if i get a petrol Sad

Had a look at a Cairns Blue one yesterday, and i'm gutted i missed yours now. Didn't think i'd like the blue dash, but i really did. Especially with the piping. It was a 2005 non-facelift though, and i really want a facelift, unless it's cheap enough.

Enjoy the TDv8!

You could have a word with Guy Salmon LR in Ascot as they took my old one today and can't acually sell it until the V5 comes back with the new 55 plate reg. Hopefully they'll leave the new 19 inch wheels and tyres on it.

Just an idea...

Td6 was fast enough for me, but I got the (expensive) bug to change.

I corrected the spelling in the last line for you Cool

Avi, I assume your TD6 is not chipped? That is a much less expensive method of increasing the fun factor in your RR by miles. Mine is chipped and I am quite satisfied with the performance. Def something I'd do again in a heartbeat.

TDv8's don't need a chip, but I know of at least 2 RRsport TDv8's that have been remapped and you get S/C performance with not a lot of penalty at the pumps, personally I think the TDV8 has sufficient performance for the vast majority of people 2018 Mini Countryman Cooper S E All4 PHEV in Melting Silver - it’s whisper quiet in EV and polluter modes
