I have just finished reading through all the threads on this, and think I've just confused myself further, so would appreciate any insight on this please

I recently purchased a Mk4 system and installed it in the car. I purchased a 2015 DVD Maps disc online, with the v32.6 firmware with Range Rover flash screen. Here are my issues...

1. This is the most annoying problem!! Since doing this install, I am suffering from the problem of audio drop outs (for 1 second or so), intermittently. I have read the long thread about audio drop outs on here, and that appears to be to do with the TV region (I have tried this, but it hasn't sorted the problem). Any ideas?

2. I cannot get the speed camera announcements to say anything... When I go into the menu I get this display:

I have the mk4 but I only use original bmw firmware with it, as camera warnings etc are not available from factory, so yours will not be original software. I know they sometimes give issues. That said, lots of people have non standard software and have no issues, so more of a heads up in case you were unaware.

The arrival time didn't show on mine and I had to use Navcoder to set the unit up properly

To my mind there are only 2 options for tv

1 Get a hybrid unit from a later bmw, which is what I did

2 have your existing unit modded so all the internal bits are swapped. Said to be better than the genuine bmw unit....
