(seriously, guess there is a socket to plug into in the wiring loom out to power in rear, seats, lights, boot power socket etc etc.)

Sure, but not in the immediate vicinity. Probably the nearest one would be for the footwell lamps in the front, no idea for the back though??

Puddle or footwell lights would make sense...

Nifty - but wholly poop is that a lot of money for something you only see for a second or 2 while entering/exiting. The ebay ones look like craap tho. Screws Thud .
